Stream

Stream is our native Windows XP application designed to be the easiest streaming and media ingest application available. The Stream interface is easy to use, but it also has deep features which allow you to fully automate the process of getting video in to our out of your network. There are three versions of the Stream software, the basic app known simply as Stream and our more advanced applications known as StreamPro and StreamEnterprise.

Some of the basic Stream application features:

  • Easy to use tabbed interface leads you through each step of the capture and encoding process.
  • Codec Profile creation allows you to create or customize encoding parameters
  • Multi-stream architecture allows simultaneous real-time encoding to many codecs (limted only by available CPU and memory resources)
  • Stream supports encoding to many different codecs including:
    • Windows Media 9
    • Real Helix 9 and 10
    • AVI (DivX AVI optional)
    • Quicktime 6 (MOV, MPEG4)
    • WAV
    • MPEG-1, MPEG-2 *
  • Concurrent and Queued encoding modes allow you to choose whether to encode your files simultaneously or sequentially giving you full control over your system resources
  • Tag/Keywords allow you to automate data entry and file management.
  • Per codec publishing based on Tags (for logs, metadata, automated web publishing, etc.)
  • Remote triggering through GPI
  • Duration encoding (encode for hours:minutes:seconds)
  • VBI capture (to preserve closed captioning data) **

NOTES

Basic Stream is included with all DRC-Stream boards.

StreamEnterprise is included with StreamZ XS Servers.

  • Frame accurate Deck Control
  • Logger for creating Deck Capture lists (can run on any Windows platform)
  • Batch encoding mode allows you to capture a master file in real-time and then transcode from the master file automatically
  • Batch transcoding (using clip lists)
  • Watch folder for automated encoding
  • StreamPro also supports encoding to:
    • Image sequence
    • Sorenson ACE (MPEG4, MOV, Flash, MP3)
    • MPEG2 streaming (broadcast mode)
  • DVD Publish ***
  • FTP distribution list

  • Email notification
